「影」と言う言葉には本来、
「光」と言う意味も含まれています。

あるいは人や物の姿・形を指す言葉であり、
同時に「面影」や、実態の無い「影」でもあるのです。

すなわち、「月影」は「月の光」であり、
「月の姿」でもあり、
「月の影」でもあると言うことになります。



The word "shadow" originally includes the meaning of "light.

Or, it is a word that refers to the shape and form of a person or thing, and at the same time, it is also a “trace” or a "shadow" without substance.

Thus, “月影”（moon’s shadow) can mean "moonlight," "moon's figure," and “shadow of the moon”.





面相筆で極細の線を緻密に引き重ね、
平面上に彫刻的な「影」を浮かび上がらせる画家・神戸博喜。

蛍手と言う技法を追究し、器の内と外からの「光」で
異なる姿を出現させる陶芸家・樽田裕史。

二人の「線」が自在に走り、
空間を切り裂くことで、
私たちはこの世界に「光」と「影」の共存する意味を、
知ることができるのです。


The painter GODO Hiroki creates sculptural "shadows" on a flat surface by drawing extremely fine lines with a faceted brush in precise layers.

The ceramic artist TARUTA Hiroshi pursues a technique called “HOTARUDE” in which light from inside and outside the vessel creates different appearances.

Through the free movement of their "lines" that cutting through space, we come to understand the coexistence of "light" and "shadow" in this world.
