阪神百貨店では３回目となる、陶芸家・津田友子の個展を開催します。 今回はリニューアルしたばかりの８階「ハローカルチャー」にて、お茶を楽しむ特集展示の一環として開催されるものであり、 「喫茶」をテーマに三つの制作シリーズの最新作を紹介する機会となります。 津田の作陶の根幹である「楽焼」は茶の湯の歴史に深く根付く伝統的なもの。 若き日に一念発起して陶芸の道を志して以来、今に至るまで自身の中で醸成と進化を続ける代表的な制作シリーズです。 今展では近作から最新作まで、楽焼の茶盌・茶道具・喫茶の器の魅力を存分にお楽しみいただきます。 そして新しい作陶シリーズとしてご紹介するのが、表題作の「蜘蛛の糸」。 コロナ禍に苛まれる日々において、津田が自身の内面の揺れ動きや葛藤を経て見出した境地です。 芥川龍之介の小説の世界観から、禅の教えの数々を広く見渡しながら 「天からの救いの光」を鮮やかな色彩と流れる釉薬で表現する、精神性豊かな作品群となります。 今展では最新の茶盌、湯呑み、茶杯・酒盃、皿など多様な器で展開されます。 最後に、近年取り組むラグジュアリーなテーブルウェアの代表作としての「コンポート」を軸に、 食卓や生活の場に彩りと品格を与える食器の最新作を紹介します。 昨年の個展で発表した新しい釉薬「雨滴聲（うてきせい）」をベースにしつつ、どのように進化するのかをご期待ください。 お茶の産地として名高い京都府和束町のPR大使も務める津田友子の作陶は、お茶とは切っても切れない深い関係性を持ちます。 現代的なセンスと確かな技術で多様な表現を続ける作家の器とともに、豊かな喫茶の時間をお楽しみいただければ幸いです。

This is the third solo exhibition at the Hanshin Department Store by ceramic artist TSUDA Tomoko. This is part of a special exhibition on enjoying tea in the newly renovated 8th floor 'Hello Culture', and is an opportunity to introduce the latest works from three production series on the theme of 'drinking tea'. Raku ware, the basis of TSUDA's pottery, is a tradition deeply rooted in the history of the tea ceremony. It is a representative production series that has been brewing and evolving within TSUDA ever since she set her sights on becoming a potter in young days. In this exhibition, you will be able to enjoy the charm of Raku ware tea bowls, tea utensils and items for tea ceremony, from the recent to the newest works. The title piece, “Spider's Thread", is a new ceramic series. This is a new frontier that Tsuda has found through her own inner turmoil and conflicts during the days of the Corona disaster. From the worldview of AKUTAGAWA Ryunosuke's novel, with a broad view of the many teachings of Zen , The works are rich in spirituality, expressing "the light of salvation from heaven" with vivid colors and flowing glazes. They will be featured in a diverse range of vessels, including the latest tea bowls, teacups,and sake cups, and plates in this exhibition. Finally, it will be centered on 'compote' as a representative work of luxury tableware, which she has been working on in recent years that add color and dignity to dining tables and other living spaces. Based on the new glaze ‘Raindrop' presented at last year's solo exhibition, please look forward to seeing how it will evolve. TSUDA Tomoko's ceramics have a deep and inseparable relationship with tea, as she is also a PR ambassador for the town of Wazuka in Kyoto, which is renowned for its tea production. We hope you will enjoy a rich tea time with vessels by an artist who continues to express herself in a variety of ways with a modern sense and reliable technique.
