白白庵の前身であり、京都で若きアーティスト達の発信基地として知られたギャラリー「neutron」。
その発足当時（2001年）から数多く作品を発表し、人気を博した「いちかわともこ」。
「大きなサンタ」「民族アパート」といった初期代表作絵本では、スケールの大きな世界観、柔らかく包み込むような宗教観を、おおらかに描き上げて高い評価を獲得。
2010年には「neutron tokyo」（現・白白庵）での個展を開催。
その後も精力的に制作・発表を重ね、実に１０年以上を経て再びこの場所に戻って来ます。

時は折しも、コロナ禍を脱せず世界中がもがき苦しむ只中。
今だからこそ、いちかわともこの描く静かで圧倒的な優しさに満ちた世界が、強く必要とされるでしょう。
この個展は最新の絵画はもちろん、今までの絵本や代表的絵画作品、こけしやマトリョーシカなどを一堂に介し、いちかわ作品の世界を余すことなく感じられる回顧展としての展覧会にもなります。

オンラインショップでは写真と動画で全作品を完全網羅。
期間中いつでもお好きな時間にお楽しみいただけます。

The gallery "neutron", the predecessor of PAKUPAKUAN, was known as a base for young artists in Kyoto.
From the time of its inauguration (2001), ICHIKAWA Tomoko has exhibited many works and gained popularity.
In her early representative picture books such as "The Big Santa" and "The Ethnic Apartment," she won high acclaim for her generous depiction of the world on a large scale and her religious views with kindness and thoughtfulness.
In 2010, she had a solo exhibition at "neutron tokyo" (currently called PAKUPAKUAN), and after more than ten years of energetic production and presentation, she has returned to this place.

Now is the time when the world is still struggling to escape COVID-19.
It is precisely at this time that ICHIKAWA Tomoko's paintings, that draw the quiet and overwhelmingly gentle world, are strongly needed.
In this solo exhibition, you will be able to see not only her latest paintings, but also her picture books, representative paintings, kokeshi dolls, matryoshkas, and other works.
The exhibition will also be a retrospective of ICHIKAWA's work.

【プロフィール】
大阪生まれ、現在は京都を中心に活動中。
絵画を中心に、イラスト、絵本、マトリョーシカ、こけしなどの創作活動を続ける。
主に神や人、動物、植物、山、星々などをモチーフにし、マトリョーシカやこけしは、それらを宿すお守りのような存在として位置づけ、
絵画は、心が還ってゆける場所 - 心の聖域を具現化するものとして展開している。
近年では、アロマショップのパッケージデザインや焼菓子店の包装紙など、活動の場を広げている。

【Profile】
Born in Osaka, currently based in Kyoto.
She has mainly drawn paintings, illustrations, picture books, matryoshka and kokeshi wooden dolls.
She usually uses gods, people, animals, plants, mountains and stars as her motifs, and for her, matryoshka and kokeshi dolls are positioned as a kind of talisman to contain her motifs.
She regards the paintings as something to embody the sanctuary of the heart - a place where the heart can return to.
In recent years, she has expanded her activities such as the package design for aroma shops and the wrapping paper for baked sweets shops.
