木工・漆器作家「田中英一」の白白庵での初個展を開催いたします。 家具工房の主宰である一方、食や生活にまつわる高い美意識を集約する《shiki》という器のブランドを立ち上げ、自身一人で削りから絵付けまで行っています。 長い年月をかけて育まれた木材を慈しみ、人間の生活に寄り添う形として再生させ、また新たな命を宿らせるような「祈り」を込めた作品たち。 一つ一つの繊細な表情、肌触りをオンラインでもお楽しみいただけるように、作家との協同作業による撮影や動画配信など、新たな試みも行ってまいります。

We have the first solo exhibition of the woodworker and lacquerware artist TANAKA Eiichi at PAKUPAKUAN. In addition to presiding over a furniture studio, he has also established a brand called "shiki," which concentrates on the high level of aesthetics associated with food and life, and does everything from cutting to painting by himself. His works are filled with a "prayer" to cherish the wood that has been nurtured over a long period of time, to recreate it in a form that is close to human life, and to give it a new life. In order for you to enjoy the delicate look and touch of each piece online, we will be experimenting with new ways to photograph and distribute videos with the artists.
